At Spectrum Socials, our mission is to help children with autism to build meaningful connections and friendships. We do this through therapist-led, inclusive social events for children matched by age and communication level, for social compatibility. Our events are typically for small groups and led by experienced behaviour therapists, to facilitate positive interactions and help develop confidence, communication and social skills. Parents and carers are invited to attend too, giving them time to build their support networks while their children are entertained!
We also offer therapeutic groups for teenagers experiencing social anxiety. These include 8 structured online sessions followed by a supported face to face meet up, helping build confidence and friendships. With high levels of social anxiety among autistic teenagers and limited access to appropriate support, these groups provide an important early intervention. Following the success of our Girls’ Group, we are expanding to include Boys’ and Gender Diverse Groups.
Friendships and social connections are so important for everyone’s well-being, and autistic children are no different - they want friends too!
However, there are many barriers that they experience, including a lack of appropriate inclusive activities, leading to high rates of loneliness and social isolation. This initiative creates fun, welcoming spaces where children can build friendships, develop social skills and feel part of a community. Led by highly experienced staff, it offers structured, therapeutic support that goes far beyond typical respite, helping to reduce isolation, build confidence and foster lasting connections.

Kids will meet first, then have an hour jumping and playing together, followed by pizza and hot dogs in a party room. Therapists will facilitate games and positive interactions while parent/ carers chat amongst themselves.

Small groups will play in a special room where movement and touch bring the walls to life with thrilling games and challenges. Therapists will support while parent/ carers have a cup of coffee and chat. Following the 'Gamebox', the group will go next door to Nando's for some delicious chicken!

Meet up in a London park for a walk, play some games, chat and have a picnic. Therapists will facilitate age appropriate games to keep everyone entertained. Parents can bring their kids favourite food for a picnic on the grass.
We will aim to respond to any questions promptly. If you are keen to participate we will ask you to complete a brief form so we can gather information about your child, enabling us to create well-suited matches.
